Outdoor Projects, Garden Designs, and Landscape

Get Digging!

When planning master outdoor projects, garden designs, and landscape, it is hard to figure out just where to start. There are so many things to consider; paths, lawn, privacy, garden beds!   Though, I must say,  flowers and plants are the ‘frosting on the cake’ to just about any natural space, all parts need to be considered when beginning or updating your yards’ appearance.  A well-planned basic design will  make all projects down the road much easier to maintain.

Let’s begin with the basics such as hard-scapes, planning a flower bed, and what kind of fence is the least expensive. Follow the links below for further information and pictures of each featured topic.

Fences and Your Privacy

It may be true that fences do make good neighbors.  But they offer so much more. A fence can provide a support for flowering vines, define outdoor spaces, or securing children and pets. They range from Rock Gabions to Metal Panels. Whether you have a contemporary zen garden or an old fashioned cottage garden, your fence can carry the outdoor landscape design of your garden while performing countless other jobs.

Planting Trees That Work

In order to have a well-balanced landscape, plan on a variety of large trees. Deciduous trees provide shade and fall color. Conifers fill empty space, with dense shade and homes for birds. Flowering trees and bushes beautify your yard closer to the home, framing porches and window boxes. Add some structure while easily beautifying your outdoors all in one dig!

Perennial Flower Beds

Perennials have a special place in the garden, as they come back year after year with just a little care.  Be sure to read the tag on each plant, making sure your end result will have tall, medium, and small plantings, as well as colour and texture variation.
